Moonjar is a Mac app and website operated by AloaLabs, LLC. This policy explains what the beta app and moonjar.ai collect, where your work lives, and the choices you have.

What stays on your Mac

Your captures, recordings, projects, library, Knowledge, and app settings are stored on your Mac. The current beta does not sync that content to Moonjar servers. Exporting or sharing a file sends it only to the destination you choose. Deleting the app alone may leave its local data on the Mac.

Account and sign-in

A Moonjar account is required to use the beta app. Supabase handles sign-in by email code and, when enabled, Apple or Google. We receive your account identifier, email address, authentication status, and beta entitlement. Our API on Render verifies your sign-in and provides access status. The app keeps its sign-in tokens encrypted on your Mac. The beta does not require a payment method.

Diagnostics and usage

Release builds send crash reports and session health to Sentry and feature-usage events to PostHog. These help us find failures and understand onboarding, captures, exports, and agent connections. Routine events use a random installation ID or your Moonjar account ID. They do not include your images, recordings, prompts, captions, file names, paths, window titles, URLs, email address, or tokens. You can turn crash and usage sharing off separately in Settings → Debug → Share diagnostics.

Debug reports you choose to send

If you choose Review report in Settings, Moonjar shows the exact debug report before you send it to Sentry. It can include recent agent activity, prompts, names, replies, and a note you write, after secret and path scrubbing. Review it carefully; this is separate from routine diagnostics. Crash dumps themselves are not uploaded.

Agents and external tools

When you use Claude or Codex features, the request and context needed for that action may be sent to Anthropic or OpenAI through your own account or sign-in. Their policies govern that processing. Web capture may launch Chrome, and simulator capture requires Xcode; websites you visit and those tools have their own data practices. Moonjar stores the resulting captures locally unless you choose to export them.

Website and waitlist

Framer serves moonjar.ai. If you join the waitlist, we send your email address and form context, such as the page, referrer, and campaign parameters, through Cloudflare to Formspark so we can manage your request. Hosting and security providers may process technical data such as IP addresses when you visit the site or use the app.

Service providers

We use Supabase and Render for accounts and access, Sentry and PostHog for diagnostics and usage, and Framer, Cloudflare, and Formspark for the website and waitlist. Agent providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI are involved only when you use their connected features. We share data with these providers for those purposes and do not sell your captures or project content.

Retention and your choices

Local work remains on your Mac until you remove it. We keep account and diagnostic data for as long as needed to operate and improve the beta, resolve security or support issues, and meet legal obligations. You can turn off routine diagnostics in the app. To request access to or deletion of your Moonjar account and associated data, email us. Removing an account does not delete files stored only on your Mac.

Security and children

We use encrypted connections and protect locally stored sign-in tokens, but no system is perfectly secure. Moonjar is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the beta changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Questions or data requests can be sent to chris@moonjar.ai.
